All abstracts will be reviewed by members of the International Scientific Committee and authors will be notified of acceptance by April 30, 2022.

Guide for Authors

The Symposium organizers are pleased to invite submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentations describing research relevant to the topics being considered.

  1. Abstracts should be typed in ‘Times New Roman’ 12 point font, using 1.5 spacing, with no line numbers.
  2. Abstracts must not under any circumstances exceed one A4 (or letter size) page in length; the total word count should not exceed 250 words.
  3. Abstracts should not contain photographs, figures, tables or references and should allow a left-hand margin of 3.5 cm for binding purposes.
  4. The title should be in boldface and should concisely indicate the specific nature of the work.
  5. The names and surnames of the authors should follow in a new line and in regular print.
  6. The author who will present the oral or poster at the Symposium should be indicated by an asterisk ‘*’.
  7. The affiliations of all the authors should be entered in the next line.
  8. The email address of only the presenting author should then be followed in the next line.
  9. The abstracts should begin with a brief introduction, with an overall focus on the results and it should end with the main conclusions. However, these should not be indicated as separate headed sections in the abstract.
  10. The author must indicate “I am applying for oral presentation” or “I am applying for poster presentation” before the title while submitting the abstract.
  11. The author must complete the registration and pay the registration fee. Applications without completed registration by the author and/or without regularly paid fee will be rejected.
  12. Abstracts must be prepared and submitted only by using the available form. Authors are invited to download the form and use it for the preparation and submission of abstracts. Submitted abstracts that do not respect the required form will be rejected.

Oral Presentations

Please comply with the following instructions for your oral presentation:

  1. Only LCD projectors will be used in the technical sessions.
  2. All slide presentations must be formatted for Powerpoint display.
  3. All presenters of oral presentations are required to submit their Powerpoint presentation to their session moderator or preloading onto the moderator’s laptop computer.
  4. The moderator will contact presenters prior to the meeting to make arrangements for receipt of their presentation and method of transfer.

Posters

The display panel will be provided for each accepted poster. The poster panels provided will be 100 cm wide and 200 cm high, and posters must thus fit within this space.

  1. We recommend a standard size of A0 (85 cm x 120 cm).
  2. “Dots” with adhesive on one side and Velcro on the other will be available to mount posters to the display panel.
  3. The official language for the posters is English.
  4. Posters should be readable from a distance of 3 ft (0.9 m).
  5. For adequate visibility, letters should be at least 3/8 in (1 cm) high after enlargement to full poster size.
  6. Photographs should be a minimum of 8 x 10 in (20 x 25 cm); the minimum size for all other illustrations is 9 in x 12 in (23 x 30 cm).
  7. ​You should set up your poster on the evening of June 15th or the morning of June 16th. Posters will be displayed throughout the Symposium, and presenters may be given an opportunity to make a few introductory comments on their posters within the time constraints of the programme.
